Charges

After school Club 3.15-5pm £5.25 (4.50 for siblings)

After School Club 3.15-6.00pm £8.50 per session (7.50 for siblings) including a light tea

All fees are to be paid in full in advance using the Agora online payments system. If you do not have access to this please contact the school office. We ask for payments to be made at least fortnightly to avoid large debt building up, which is difficult to pay back.

Ad hoc bookings

We are always very willing to make ad hoc bookings at after school club, for any child at Kettlefields. If you wish to make a one off booking please request this via the school office, and as long as we have sufficient space, we will book a place for you.

Late Collections

Children booked in until 5pm– on late collection the full session fee of £8.50 will apply.

It is understood that previously there has been a grace period of 15 minutes where parents can book their child in until 5pm, but have until 5.15pm to actually collect. As of Monday 29th January 2018 this is no longer the case. The cut off time is now 5pm and all late collections will be recorded, and the amount charged corrected accordingly.

If you have previously collected at 5.15pm, and now wish to extend your booking until 6pm, please speak to Mrs Addison in the Office, or email office@kettlefields.cambs.sch.uk

The After School Club operates between the hours of 3.15pm and 6.00pm. All children must be collected before the Club closes. Whilst we appreciate that on occasion you might be delayed there have been a number of incidents that have resulted in staff having to stay well after 6pm.

In order to cover the additional costs of staff time for staying with the children beyond their contracted a late collection will incur a £5 charge per child. Three late collections beyond 6pm will result in your child’s place being withdrawn.

Cancellation fees

More than 4 weeks notice No charge

Less than 4 weeks notice Full fees will be charged

Sessions missed due to illness, sport club attendance, or other reasons will not be refunded.

If you know that your child is not going to be attending after school club as a one off, please do make the office aware.

Food and Drink:

A healthy finger food tea will be served at 5pm. This will be sufficient to keep the children going but we do not recommend that it replaces an evening meal. Examples of the types of foods that will be served include:

Toast/Bagels/Crumpets (with a variety of toppings)

Sandwiches (with a selection of fillings such as ham or cheese)

Fruit

Vegetable/Salad snacks

Fruit juices/water/squash

Soup and bread

Beans on toast

Kettlefields' Choice and Challenge Club (our after school club which opened in April 2014) has become a successful, educational and fun After School Club enjoyed by a large number of our pupils. We offer low cost quality out of school care for children aged 4-11 years. Our staff are experienced, DBS checked and valued members of our whole school team.

At our After School Club, we promote the principles of play: that children's play is freely chosen and that through play children can explore - learning and developing as an individual. Our aim is to provide opportunities for the individual child to achieve his or her potential in a fun, friendly and caring environment. Your child's enjoyment, care and safety are our main concerns.

The After School Club is based in our mobile classroom at the top of the car park. This fabulous space allows us to accommodate up to 30 children per session. The children arrive at the Club and have the opportunity to have a snack and a drink, and then our activities start. There is one main activity per session that is staff led, which the children can choose to take part in. Also during the session, there is a selection of board games and play materials such as Lego, Hama beads and a football table. Your child will also be free to use the laptops and book library. The children have access to all the outside spaces at the school and are supervised appropriately. These include the trim trail, play area, forest and the school playground, where we play outdoor sports such as parachute games, football and other fun games. The club has themed activities to celebrate special events and holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. A new timetable is produced every half term and is available to parents and children.

We also accept Child Care Vouchers for those entitled to them.

Please note that new YR pupils cannot start either Breakfast or After School Clubs until week commencing 26th September to allow for settling into their new routine.
