Class Teacher: Mrs. Gadsby and Mrs Bramley (Thursday pm and Friday)

Teaching Assistants: Mrs. Wiseman

This year our work is going to be based around some fun and exciting topics.....

Autumn 1: All about Me
Autumn 2: Superheroes
Spring 1: The Weather
Spring 2: Green Fingers
Summer 1: Castles, Knights and dragons
Summer 2: Intrepid Explorers

This half term our topic is...

Castles, Knights and Dragons

Through cross curricular and inquiry based approaches to our learning,
we will be finding out about castles, knights, kings and queens. We will be learning about what it was like in the middle ages, who could become a knight and how you could train to be a knight. We will be reading legends such as George and the Dragon and King Arthur.

What are the different parts of a castle?

What are the parts of a knights Armour?

How do you train to be a Knight?

Who were all the kings and queens of England?

What was life like for people in the middle ages?

Each half term we produce a Curriculum Map that details what the children will learn.
The Curriculum Maps are designed to give as much information as possible

about what the children will be learning at school each half

term so that they can be supported at home.
