WELCOME BACK!

We hope you have had a lovely break and are ready for an action packed half term!

Once we are all feeling settled in our new classes and year groups, we will begin learning through our new topic.

Can you guess what it is? I'll give you a clue......

You guessed it!

Our Autumn 1 topic is 'Superheroes'.

This is always such a fun and exciting topic and your teachers have lots of great books to share with you.

Some of these books will be fictional but others will be non-fiction, as we learn about some real life superheroes such as Sir Tom Moore and many more. Do any of you know why Sir Tom Moore was a superhero?

What did he do that was so amazing?

Below are some of the books that we have chosen to share with you this half term:

Further details regarding our learning can be found on our half termly topic web, as well as our class newsletter which will be uploaded to Google Classroom at the start of the new term.

Google Classroom is an excellent way to keep in touch, and is my main way of communicating with parents at home so please ensure that you accept your invitation to join our class.

Things to remember:

Our P.E. days are Wednesdays and Thursdays.

  Home Learning

Phonics homework will be sent home weekly.

Topic and Maths home learning menus will be uploaded to Google Classroom at the beginning of term.

Children should pick a challenge to complete weekly.

As well as this, children should also be reading daily and completing challenges on Doodle Maths.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you need a login for either the 'Reading Planet' or 'Doodle Maths'.

Children will be given the opportunity to change their books regularly and Mrs Evans-Evans will also assign books on the 'Reading Planet'.
